Mul-t-lock's high-security deadbolt system is engineered for both commercial and residential door applications. The key operation involves a 90-degree rotation that throws the 1-inch hardened steel bolt toward the frame, interlocking two hardened ball bearings with the strike plate to enhance resistance against jimmying. The system is constructed with premium materials, including solid brass rings and cylinder, hardened steel bolt and anti-drilling ring, and a steel strike plate with nickel silver and stainless steel pins.

This versatile deadbolt is suitable for two different backsets, eliminating the need for separate parts. It allows for easy conversion between standard and drive-in installations, and comes equipped with a 1-inch throw as standard. The thumbturn tail self-adjusts to accommodate various door thicknesses.

At the heart of the Mul-t-lock deadbolt is the company's unique, high-precision telescopic pin tumbler cylinder mechanism, which provides exceptional pick and drill resistance to meet the highest security requirements. The deadbolt is UL437 listed for burglary protection and carries a UL fire-rated bolt, as well as an ANSI Grade 1 certification.

Each Mul-t-lock deadbolt is supplied with two keys and a Mul-lock key code identification card as standard.
